Vision for Vuelosanto
This has been a long time coming. A vision, a blueprint of how we can come together as humans, in conjunction with nature, spirit and energy to create a new way of being that has the upmost respect for all living things, developing an eco village that can be replicated to help offset climate change and live holistically with the earth, in collaboration with and respect for nature. Bringing together what is possible, what we’ve known all along, as Charles Eisenstein titled his book ” The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible”.
Ever since my childhood I have envisioned a different type of community. The way we lived didn’t seem right to me, and the older I get the worse it seems. But I knew there was another way. To be taken from here to somewhere else. I once heard someone say that each artists makes the world his or her own and in doing that elevates us, gives us a larger view. Only thru art can we get outside of ourselves and know another’s view of the universe because artists give us themselves. Thru their vision they make us want to feel our best. This is what I want, to create a living masterpiece. A way we could co-create a better way of coming together in community where everyone looks out for each other and contributes to create a beautiful, peaceful, fulfilling, joyful and extraordinary way of life.
There will be challenges as there always are when attempting something different. But then again this isn’t anything new. People have been creating communities since the beginning of time. But it is my belief and my vision that we can rise above these challenges and come together for the greater good of the community, because that’s what we desperately need at this point in our evolution. I find us in an unusual time. On one hand we have innovations that are on the horizon that are primed to completely change our lives for the better. Innovations such as 3-D printing and nano technology have such far reaching possibilities that it’s mind boggling to even consider. Then on the other hand we are still such primitive animals running around shooting each other in the name of a God, country, money or power. Then there are the individuals who chose to take lives or there own because they are lost. They have no sense of belonging, no understanding of what it’s like to have and to be part of a group of individuals that you can completely trust and who will be there for you in good times and bad and who will love you unconditionally and listen to you without judgement. This is a basic need that we all share and that would enable us to thrive as a society and as individuals. I feel that until we are able to get these basic needs down and truly have a fundamental understanding on what it means and what it takes to be in a community, all we will do is continue to create more and more distractions to keep us from the hidden pain that under lies so many peoples lives. There was a quote that I read but unfortunately I can’t give them credit for it that says “This is obvious in the fact of our societies obsession with sports and movie stars. We are attracted to individuals that are living there dreams, and try to live vicariously thru them while our own lives lay dormant waiting for someday or something that will ignite that long forgotten passion.”
What’s exciting to me is that even though I look around and see a world that appears to be falling apart, I know in my heart that we humans can tap into a higher form of intelligence to manifest what is seemingly impossible.
Our most precious resource is our persistent and passionate minds, and our society, the way it stands today is the death of that. We are not supported by our government to better ourselves. In fact just the opposite is true, we are encouraged to be mediocre. But imagine being surrounded by people and a community that encourages you and makes it easier for you to bring forth your underlying talents.
In every activity the focus is upon cooperating and collaborating to create a community of respect, belonging, heart-centeredness and peace and beauty.
My vision is to create a different way of living to spur a shift in consciousness, and I know this can be done! I invite you to entertain the possibilities and when I say this, consider an eco village of this type in every city in the world. The impact of this positive transformation could be massive. Please consider joining us thru either actively participating in the community or helping us bring the vision to fruition.
Sim Van der Ryn puts its beautifully: “At the heart of ecological design is not efficiency or sustainability. It is the embodiment of animating spirit, the soul of the living world as embodied in each of us waiting to be reborn and expressed in what we design”
